Data Products
Once data has been collected, it needs to be post-processed. This can be computationally expensive depending on the techniques employed. At present CCI is working on a number of different data products. The first is the collation of data and production of 3D models for use in industry standard software. The second is production of heatmaps to identify particular features of concern using machine learning techniques, so as to quickly identify areas of a structure which may need maintenance.
3D Models
At present CCI uses Photogrammetry to rapidly develop point clouds of structures. This technique uses many high resolution images taken from the UAV platform to construct an image based on the position of identified features within the images.
From this surfaces and point clouds can be exported for use in your industry standard software. |
Machine Learning
Further to the generation of 3D images, CCI is also developing machine learning technologies which can automatically identify and highlight features of particular concern. We currently have a number of models in development to assist with the identification of flaws on large surveys, including:
